keep in mind that this list of evaluators is provided as a service to
the homeschool community and is not an endorsement of the evaluators
listed. My personal recommendation is that you communicate with other
homeschoolers and ask about their evaluators. Then contact the
evaluators and ask what they do during an evaluation as well as the
time frame for you to actually receive the evaluation letter (you are
on a deadline, after all). Homeschooling styles range from unschooling
to traditional school environments. Evaluators, and their expectations,
follow a similar pattern.
Here are some links that provide advice on choosing an evaluator:
you are evaluating for the first time, you may want to schedule an
evaluation very soon. That can give you time to have a second
evaluation, if necessary, before the June 30th deadline.
to everyone who replied to the request for evaluator names! If you
would like to add an evaluator to the list, please email me: firstname.lastname@example.org
The three main homeschool diploma programs maintain a list of their own certified evaluators. Here are the links for them:

is Judy Swartley and I have graduated my daughter through home schooling. I
am a PA certified Art teacher for K-12th grade and understand what is

I live in Swiftwater by Sanofi Labs.
Patti Mahaney: 570-424-0358
am a Christian homeschool mom who has also taught part-time for a local
school district. My husband says I am and always will be a teacher. I
have taught for 25 years in some form and have settled contently into
the world of homeschooling. I homeschool my teenage son but also have
the privilege of teaching other students who are homeschooling. I love
getting to know the young people of today. I also get to know their
parents through my homeschool consulting business and my workshops.
When not teaching I love to read, do needle work, watch the METS and
travel with my family. I hope as I become a little more tech savvy this
site will be a blessing to some and a reminder to me of all that God
has blessed me with in my life.
Tim Anger: 610.965.4790 and ask for mailbox 227, evening: 484-347-3600 (cell), email@example.com

longer have enough homeschoolers to warrant him making the trip up
here. If several of you are interested in using him as an evaluator, he
may once again come to the Poconos for evaluations. Here is a link to
